Week 2

We've had one week to work on assignment one.

So far my team and I have come up with our basic project idea, roles, have begun prototyping, and have created a Sprint 1 plan.

Project idea: Connect (temporary name)

We recognized that it is hard to meet new people in your area -- especially when you are new to the area. We looked at current services & products to help with this such as tinder. The problem with tinder and similar services are that most people don't meet up even if they match and the process is slow.

Tinder requires a user to swipe through plenty of users, send messages to another user they've matched with, hope that they get a response, and need to feel comfortable enough with the person to meet up in person.

We decided to take another approach to having people meet one another. Users will navigate to our site, make an account with facebook and provide some details, and then click the big 'connect' button to be immediately matched with someone else online also looking to connect.

Two matched users will be put into an audio chat and be presented with two truths and a lie from the other person (this information is collected during account creation). Both users will now have something to ask the other about and it is non-intimidating because neither has to show their face.

If both users want to see each other they can switch to video mode. We imagine this will happen after a few minutes of talking over audio.
